In this article, I’ll share about Crystal Bay, a little peaceful paradise. Located in Nusa Penida only 40 minutes from Bali. If you are adventurous rent a scooter and explore. This is the best way to discover the Island.
Crystal bay is a remote beach in Nusa Penida with cute bungalows, the beach is crowded during the day. However early morning and late afternoon are fantastic for a morning walk and relaxing read under the morning light.
Budget
Person : 2 persons.
One night with breakfast : Around USD 35 depending on the bungalows.
Lunch & dinners : IDR 40k per dish.
Scooter : About IDR 70-90k for 1 scooter per day (do not hesitate to negotiate).
How to get to nusa penida ?
Nusa Penida is an island located 40 minutes by boat east side of Bali. In Bali, the pier is in Sanur. I usually buy the ticket at the “public boat office”. There are other companies, pay attention to the departure time from Nusa Penida to Bali if you have a flight. The last boat is around 4:30 pm.

what to visit Crystal Bay Beach
Crystal Bay Beach is a diamond, where you can snorkel, dive, enjoy coconuts on the beach, and barbecue. During the day it can be a bit crowded since the tours bring tourists who stay in Nusa for the day only. if you decide to stay in this area for the night, the best is to rent a scooter. It takes around 20-30 minutes to drive from the pier. Recently the road is much better than in the past. Keep in mind there’s some sand and gravel sometimes on the road. It can be slippery.
1 - Crystal bay Bech
The Beach is located in a bay surrounded by mountains and forest. In the morning the beach is quiet. I enjoy waking up early, take my book, and walk 5 minutes from my bungalow to sat down on the beach, walk in the fresh water and enjoy the light morning sun.
Tips : Take the stairs on the left side of the beach when facing the sea, follow the path to arrive at a quiet beach.
2 - Pandan beach
Pandan Beach is accessible from Crystal Bay:
Take the stairs on the left side of the beach and follow the path. There’s a view above the sea, and later you’ll arrive at another stair and reach the beach.

3 – Check hotel availabilities in advance since this is a high-demand spot and very few accommodations available.
