Easily accessible by cable car, railway, or even hiking up, mount Rigi is a diamond in the middle of Switzerland mountains. If you’re lucky enough a magnificent view of the lake is waiting for you at the top. On the other hand, don’t be surprised to see a grey sky from the bottom of the mountain, take the chance to go up there and discover a stunning white coat of clouds surrounding the sunny blue horizon. Rigi is surrounded by three lakes : Lake Lucerne, Lake Zug, Lake Lauerz.
What to Know before heading to rigi kulm?

The main advantage of Rigi is the combination of different activities for the entire family. Everyone can enjoy his own way. During the winter season, the view is spectacular, the contrast of the blue sky and the snow made me feel in paradise for a day. Winter sports activities are of course available for all. Grab a hot wine, cheese, and sausage board at the edge of the railway with stunning scenery

- The shortest, 2 km with a view on Lucerne Lake: Great view from Seebodenalp: about 1 hour
- The classic one, 4 km from Rigi Kulm to Rigi Kaltbad where you can take the train: about 1 hour
- The Short one, 2 km from Rigi Kaltbad to Rigi First: about 30 minutes

1 – Wear warm clothes.
2 – Bring cash, in case credit cards are not accepted
3 – Arrive early enough to have the time to explore.
More about Niederbauen Mount :
For this post, I mostly published pictures. Niederbauen mount is a beautiful station at the top of the mountain. In summer you can paraglide from the top and fly over the “Lac des Quatre Cantons”. Mount Niederbauen has several hiking paths available to explore the mountain.
If you’re lucky and the weather is clear a wonderful view of the lake will leave you breathless. We took a cable car to get to the top of the mountain. Splendid scenery. Snow was au Rendez-vous.
